About the role
Roja is seeking a contract-based Remote Backend Developer specialized in Golang to help build the core of its upcoming peer‑to‑peer lending platform. You will join a cross‑functional team and contribute to a secure, data‑driven financial ecosystem launching in May 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Golang.
- Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code.
- Implement RESTful APIs and integrate third‑party services.
- Collaborate with product, front‑end, and DevOps teams to optimise performance and scalability.
- Ensure system security, monitor reliability, and troubleshoot issues.
Required profile
- Strong background in back‑end web development and software engineering.
- Proven experience with Object‑Oriented Programming principles.
- Hands‑on experience in Golang programming.
- Basic understanding of front‑end development is a plus.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Previous fintech or P2P platform experience is a bonus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
