Remote Backend Developer (Golang) – Contract

About the role

Roja is seeking a contract-based Remote Backend Developer specialized in Golang to help build the core of its upcoming peer‑to‑peer lending platform. You will join a cross‑functional team and contribute to a secure, data‑driven financial ecosystem launching in May 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Golang.
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code.
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrate third‑party services.
• Collaborate with product, front‑end, and DevOps teams to optimise performance and scalability.
• Ensure system security, monitor reliability, and troubleshoot issues.

Required profile

• Strong background in back‑end web development and software engineering.
• Proven experience with Object‑Oriented Programming principles.
• Hands‑on experience in Golang programming.
• Basic understanding of front‑end development is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Previous fintech or P2P platform experience is a bonus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
