Moderns Trade Sales Manager(FMCG)
Job Description
Our client in the FMCG is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Modern Trade Sales Manager to join their sales team. The preferred candidate should have the following responsibility:
Responsibilities:
Identify new business opportunities and potential customers within the modern trade segment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective promotional campaigns and initiatives for the modern trade channel.
Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and negotiate terms and conditions.
Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports, providing accurate and timely information to management.
Coordinate with internal departments such as logistics, finance, and customer service to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and customer needs to anticipate changes and proactively respond to challenges.
Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
Requirements
Requirements:
First degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). A Master's degree is an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years’ proven sales experience in FMCG
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve targets.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights to drive business decisions.
Proactive and result-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong relationship-building skills and ability to foster long-term partnerships with key accounts.
Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of trade regulations and compliance standards within the modern trade industry.
