Description
Develop and formalize a project communication strategy and plan that will establish, improve, and expand the reach of its information services for creating awareness and knowledge management purposes.
Coordinate media and public relations efforts of I-Youth by sharing the activities, successes, and achievements through regular reports and specific documentation (case studies, best practices, lesson learned, etc).
Facilitate the dissemination of information on I-Youth activities by local and foreign media through feature article writing and press releases.
Facilitate a strong presence on social media that includes YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Identify tools that will enhance strong internal communications, accurate communications of project results, and lessons learned amongst project stakeholders.
Create visibility for the I-Youth brand within the larger youth empowerment and agricultural development communities.
Create rich and creative content that is optimized for search engines.
Write, edit, and produce articles and news stories on project-related activities and findings and have these published in the project newsletter or other outlets.
Develop and package print/web/audio-visual and multimedia materials for the I-Youth project upon interaction with focal persons at the project implementation sites.
Plan content and write copy for publications such as corporate brochures, annual reports for donors, banners, posters, and flyers for use in advocacy events.
Write content for website pages, scripts for presentations, and videos.
Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION:
BSc/HND in Mass Communication, Public Relation or related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
COMPETENCIES:
The ideal candidate must:
Have excellent communication skills (writing, reading, and speaking).
Have ability to use basic Microsoft software (word, excel, PowerPoint).
Have strong multi-tasking abilities and problem-solving skills.
Have proven experience as an executive assistant or other relevant administrative support experience.
Have the ability to work with little or no supervision.
