Transport Assistant / Driver – Catering Logistics

About the role

The Transport Assistant/Driver supports Newrest’s catering operations by loading galley equipment onto trucks and delivering meals and supplies to aircraft and other locations. You will operate company vehicles safely, follow daily schedules, and ensure timely, secure deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Operate vans, trucks and high‑loaders for transporting catering equipment, meals and supplies.
• Perform vehicle pre‑checks (fuel, oil, lights, brakes, tires) before each shift.
• Load, secure, and unload goods, ensuring proper handling of special items such as dry ice, fragile equipment, and special meals.
• Follow the daily transport schedule and dispatch instructions.
• Report accidents, delays, vehicle issues or route changes immediately to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
• Complete and submit trip logs, delivery records and checklists accurately.
• Coordinate with flight loaders, transport assistants and the operations team during deliveries.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• Valid Goods Driver’s License and any required airport permits.
• Valid and updated Certificate of Character.
• Ability to work a flexible, constantly changing schedule.
• Reliability, punctuality, attendance and diligence.
