About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Senior MEAL Coordinator to lead Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) activities for its Myanmar operations. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Programs and supported by the Regional Measurement Action Coordinator, you will ensure high‑quality data systems that drive program improvement and strategic learning.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and oversee MEAL systems, including data collection, management, analysis and visualization.
- Integrate MEAL principles throughout the project cycle in line with IRC corporate guidelines and the Country Strategic Action Plan.
- Lead client feedback mechanisms across sectors and regions, ensuring accountability to beneficiaries.
- Provide technical assistance, capacity building, mentoring and training to IRC MEAL staff and partner organizations.
- Represent IRC in internal and external MEAL forums, shaping evidence‑based decision‑making.
- Collaborate with program, grants and support teams to align monitoring frameworks with strategic objectives.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning within humanitarian or development contexts.
- Proven ability to manage complex data systems and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Strong leadership and partnership skills, with experience supporting staff and partners.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
Required skills
- Knowledge of MEAL methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with data management and visualization tools.
- Capacity to develop and implement client feedback mechanisms.
