Mechanical Engineer – Design, Testing & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our production team. The role involves designing, developing, testing and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment to support our manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software.
• Conduct research, analyse data and improve existing designs.
• Collaborate with electrical and other engineers to integrate mechanical systems.
• Develop and test prototypes to ensure they meet specifications.
• Manage projects, coordinate with cross‑functional teams and control budgets.
• Perform quality control checks and oversee manufacturing and assembly.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for field installations.
• Carry out routine maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on vehicles and machinery.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Communicate repair estimates and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant technical training.
• Strong foundation in mathematics, science and English.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar mechanical engineering role.
• Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication, teamwork and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer‑aided design (CAD) software.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment for mechanical systems.
