Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Hydroleap is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to enhance its proprietary electro‑coagulation and electro‑oxidation systems. You will translate concepts into robust mechanical solutions that keep wastewater treatment plants operating efficiently and sustainably.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product specialists to improve electro‑coagulation and electro‑oxidation designs.
• Develop mechanical layouts for pump skids, piping, valves, and treatment equipment.
• Work closely with process, electrical and automation engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Apply ISO, ASME and local standards to ensure safety, reliability and compliance.
• Optimize designs for energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
• Support R&D projects and create detailed documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in wastewater or process industries.
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and material selection for corrosive environments.
• Proven ability to produce Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

Required skills

• 2D drafting with AutoCAD.
• 3D modeling with SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of CFD and FEA tools (preferred).
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Experience applying ISO and ASME standards.
