Lighting Technician – Shipboard

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Lighting Technician to join our crew on international vessels. The position offers a structured rotation of six months on board followed by two months off, providing a balanced work‑life schedule while delivering essential lighting services at sea.

Key responsibilities

• Install, operate, and maintain shipboard lighting systems and equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot lighting faults promptly.
• Coordinate with engineering and deck departments to ensure lighting meets safety and operational standards.
• Document maintenance activities and keep equipment logs up to date.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year of relevant experience as a lighting technician or in a similar maritime role.
• Preferably prior shipboard experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural crew.
• Valid travel documents and no employment gaps longer than one year.

Required skills

• Knowledge of marine lighting equipment and electrical safety procedures.
