IT Backend Java Internship

About the role

You will join an international development team (Europe and Asia) working on a core application for Bosch Mobility Business. The position follows Agile methodology and offers hands‑on experience in backend development.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, improve and extend the current software stack with new functionalities.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to design, implementation, testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with developers, process experts, architects and technical contacts of related systems.
• Take part in code reviews, mentor junior developers and ensure best practices in software development.

Required profile

• Current student in an IT‑related field (2nd to 4th year of study).
• Availability of 30‑40 hours per week.
• Self‑motivated, initiative‑taking and flexible.
• Ability to work in a virtual, multicultural team.
• Good command of English and end‑to‑end thinking.

Required skills

• Java programming, including Spring Boot, Hibernate, web services, REST and APIs.
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Unit testing with JUnit, Jupiter and Mockito.
• Version control with Git / Git Flow.
• Knowledge of SOLID principles, Clean Code and Test‑Driven Development.
