Home Tutor for Primary Students in Surulere, Lagos

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated home tutor to provide personalized primary education support for two children in Surulere, Lagos. The tutor will focus on strengthening their skills in basic mathematics and English language through engaging, one‑to‑one sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 2‑hour tutoring sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 5:00 PM at the client’s home.
• Prepare lesson plans aligned with the Nigerian primary curriculum for Primary 2 and Primary 4 levels.
• Assess each child’s progress and adapt teaching methods to improve performance in mathematics and English.
• Motivate students and extend learning beyond the classroom to build confidence.

Required profile

• Experience teaching primary‑level students, preferably in the Nigerian education system.
• Ability to work independently at the client’s location.
• Strong communication skills with children and parents.

Required skills

• Proficiency in teaching basic mathematics concepts.
• Proficiency in teaching English language fundamentals.
