Front Line Manager – Plant Operations

About the role

The Front Line Manager will lead the Sundar Plant shift teams, ensuring safe and efficient production of potato‑based products and related lines. This role is pivotal in driving key performance indicators, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive manufacturing culture and ensure employee safety during shift operations.
• Achieve and exceed critical efficiency metrics (PC Basic & Net, Oil, Seasoning, Corn, Film).
• Maintain compliance with Quality & Food Safety systems (PepsiCo, AIBI, IPS, FSSC 22000).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality, safety, and downtime issues.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and follow up on action items.
• Lead recruitment, induction, and competency‑based selection for plant operators.
• Develop shop‑floor talent and promote employee engagement.
• Support OHS initiatives and act as an advocate for PepsiCo values.
• Work closely with Production and ER teams to sustain industrial peace.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering.
• 4‑5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing or plant management role.
• Exposure to employee relations / industrial relations within a production environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Quality & Food Safety standards (PepsiCo, AIBI, IPS, FSSC 22000).
• Ability to analyse and improve manufacturing efficiency metrics.
