Video Desk Producer

About the role

Reuters is seeking a Video Desk Producer to join its Singapore newsroom. The role focuses on delivering breaking and developing news video coverage from the United States and Latin America to a global audience of broadcasters and digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Edit live video and assemble coverage from across the world for rapid client delivery.
• Coordinate with crews in the Western Hemisphere to produce lives and edits quickly.
• Write accurate, tight news copy and pitch story ideas for broadcast and digital use.
• Respond to breaking news events and schedule coverage for major planned events.
• Manage client queries after regional centres have closed.
• Uphold Reuters Trust Principles of independence, integrity and freedom from bias.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 months of professional journalism experience in broadcast or agency settings.
• Strong news judgment, global mindset and passion for breaking news.
• Ability to stay calm and organised under pressure.
• Interest in North American and Latin American news.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
