Telecom Solutions Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Telecom Solutions Architect to help communication service providers in New Zealand modernise their operations with innovative BSS/OSS software solutions. This strategic, customer‑facing position works remotely and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to design scalable architectures aligned with 5G monetisation and AI‑driven automation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services and Product teams to craft tailored solution proposals.
• Lead technical discussions, presentations and workshops with customers to build confidence in designs and implementation plans.
• Support the full engagement lifecycle from pre‑sales discovery through post‑contract implementation and optimisation.
• Analyse feedback, operational challenges and market trends to influence product enhancements.
• Identify expansion and upsell opportunities while maintaining long‑term customer relationships.
• Advocate customer requirements across Engineering, Marketing, Product and Support teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years designing, developing or deploying telecom BSS/OSS solutions.
• Strong understanding of telecom architectures, operational workflows and emerging technologies such as 5G monetisation and AI‑driven solutions.
• Experience working with cross‑functional technical and commercial teams in a consulting or solution‑architecture role.
• Background in software development, systems integration or program management is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving abilities.
