Software Engineer/Developer – iOS (Hybrid, Retail)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join our retail technology team. The role focuses on building and maintaining hybrid mobile applications, primarily for iOS, while collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and release mobile and web applications aligned with business goals.
• Support the full application lifecycle, including API development, performance optimisation and debugging.
• Gather requirements, propose technical solutions and discuss them with product and development teams.
• Adapt existing web applications for mobile use and ensure seamless experiences across phones, tablets and other devices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to project schedules and continuously improve app functionality and design.
• Research new mobile technologies, recommend enhancements and write unit/UI tests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.
• 2‑4 years of professional software‑development experience.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling.
• Experience working in large, multi‑stakeholder teams.
• Exposure to cloud services and additional programming languages is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Kotlin and Kotlin coroutines.
• Jetpack Compose and core Android SDK libraries.
• RESTful API integration (GraphQL experience is a plus).
• DevOps tools: Atlassian suite, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence.
• Solid understanding of security concepts and best practices.
• Agile methodology experience.
