Senior Pharmacist – Lagos Island

About the role

Alpha Pharmacy, a leading Nigerian supplier of rare ethical medicines and critical care products, is seeking a Senior Pharmacist to join its Lagos Island pharmacy. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on safe preparation, dispensing and oversight of medication services for tertiary hospitals and specialised procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and dispensing of all medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with PCN regulations.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including temperature‑sensitive products, and maintain a robust cold‑chain system.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, coordinating with interdisciplinary clinical teams.
• Maintain accurate patient and drug therapy records, monitor drug efficacy and safety.
• Provide expert advice to healthcare providers and patients on medication use.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Pharm.D from a recognised institution.
• Valid Pharmacist License issued by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria.
• Minimum 4 years of licensed pharmacy experience, preferably in critical‑care or rare ethical medicines.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, drug safety protocols and inventory control.
• Proven leadership and communication abilities.
