Senior Manual Test Engineer

About the role

Accenture is seeking a Senior Manual Test Engineer to ensure the quality, stability and reliability of applications for clients in banking, insurance, natural resources and high‑tech sectors. The role involves end‑to‑end testing across functional, integration, API, product and regression domains within an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end testing activities independently with minimal supervision.
• Own the full QA lifecycle from requirements analysis and test design to execution, defect tracking and reporting.
• Identify, analyse and resolve defects, performing root‑cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and stakeholders to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Track and analyse QA metrics such as test coverage, defect density and open issues to drive continuous improvement.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives and QA demos.
• Provide proactive quality insights and feedback to identify issues early and improve product reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational abilities.
• Fluent in French (written and spoken); ISTQB certification is a plus.

Required skills

• API and web‑service testing using Postman and SoapUI.
• SQL scripting for data validation.
• Testing of web and desktop applications.
• Cross‑browser testing with BrowserStack or similar platforms.
• Experience with test and project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, XRAY and Confluence.
