Senior Financial Accountant – New Zealand

About the role

Join the finance team of a leading medical‑device company operating in New Zealand. As Senior Financial Accountant you will own the full spectrum of finance activities, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with US GAAP and local regulations, and supporting Dexcom’s growth in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly financial reports for the New Zealand operation and the parent company.
• Manage accounting systems, journal entries, general ledger, cash flow, and revenue reconciliation.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll processes coordinated with the Global Business Services team in Manila.
• Design and improve operational processes to meet audit standards and provide financial counsel.
• Conduct financial analysis, variance (flux) analysis and deliver insights on business trends.
• Ensure compliance with Fringe Benefits Tax and other statutory obligations.
• Lead annual audits, coordinate with external auditors and drive special projects.
• Mentor and evaluate the finance team, handling recruitment and development.

Required profile

• Strong accounting expertise with solid knowledge of US GAAP and New Zealand statutory requirements.
• Proven analytical ability to interpret financial results and resolve complex issues.
• Experience in managing end‑to‑end finance functions within a multinational environment.
