About the role
The Scholarships Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the development, management, and maintenance of all scholarship policies, procedures, and operations at Saint Louis University. This role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely scholarship processing while serving as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee, coordinate, publish, and monitor scholarship policies and procedures; train staff in collaboration with departmental leadership.
- Supervise entry of scholarship information into student records, update federal and state grant records, and certify documents for external scholarship payments.
- Collaborate with external departments, organizations, and stakeholders to support scholarship and funding initiatives.
- Utilize various software platforms to promote scholarships, process awards, and collect data; ensure information is accurate and accessible.
- Assist with financial reconciliations, develop reports for compliance reviews, and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain up‑to‑date information on institutional, state, federal, and external scholarships for dissemination.
- Lead committees evaluating student appeals, scholarship awards, and need‑based determinations.
- Provide advising and counseling to students, parents, agencies, and university staff; conduct presentations.
- Support NCAA awarding and compliance activities and perform other assigned duties.
Required profile
- Knowledge of federal, state, and university scholarship policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with database preparation and maintenance.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to assess situations, process large volumes of awards accurately, and explain funding decisions consistently.
- Capacity to meet performance targets without compromising accuracy.
