Retail Sales Assistant – Ponsonby

About the role

Join the Petstock team in Ponsonby and help pet owners find the best products for their companions. You will deliver memorable, meaningful interactions while supporting the store’s sales goals and brand values.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and educate shoppers on pet care and product options.
• Complete sales transactions efficiently, aiming to meet or exceed store targets.
• Maintain high store presentation standards and ensure new stock is displayed accurately.
• Replenish inventory promptly and keep product knowledge up to date.
• Foster a fun, supportive in‑store culture and promote a strong safety mindset.

Required profile

• Passion for animals and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Previous experience in a similar retail environment.
• Drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers and teammates.
• Physically fit – able to lift products up to 20 kg.
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and weekdays as required.
• Willingness to work across multiple Auckland locations is an advantage.
