Research Scientist, Sustainability

About the role

Bosch is looking for a highly motivated Research Scientist to join its Singapore R&D team focused on sustainability and the circular economy. The role combines AI‑driven software development with advanced technology research to create innovative, market‑ready solutions that support resource conservation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AI‑based software innovation projects in circular economy and sustainability, guiding them from concept through commercialization.
• Develop robust business models, pitch ideas to internal and external funding sources, and secure financial support.
• Conduct systematic technology scouting, run innovation workshops, and translate ideas into patents and invention disclosures.
• Collaborate with business units to identify market needs, perform customer discovery, and turn insights into actionable research proposals.
• Build and maintain an external innovation network by identifying and establishing research collaborations with leading universities and institutions.

Required profile

• Strong motivation and proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary research environment.
• Experience collaborating with internal business units and external academic partners.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts and business cases to diverse stakeholders.
