About the role
The Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests at One&Only Le Saint Géran, ensuring a warm and efficient welcome. Working under the supervision of the Front Office team, you will manage guest interactions throughout their stay, aiming to exceed expectations with professionalism and empathy.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests courteously upon arrival.
- Handle all telephone calls, forward messages and route inquiries.
- Perform check‑in and check‑out procedures, issue keys and manage room status.
- Process payments, cash, foreign currency exchange and credit‑card transactions.
- Assist guests with special requests such as taxi bookings, theatre tickets, luggage storage and local information.
- Manage guest complaints, document incidents and forward reports to the appropriate line manager.
- Maintain a clean and organized front‑desk area and ensure all equipment is functional.
- Support the Front Office team with secretarial duties and after‑hours booking requests.
Required profile
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong customer‑service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and handle cash responsibly.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and appearance.
- Willingness to attend training and adapt to evolving hotel procedures.
Required skills
- Cash handling and foreign currency exchange.
- Basic use of hotel front‑office software and key‑card programming.
- Effective telephone etiquette and message routing.
