Programme Management Advisor – Strategic Sanitation & Menstrual Health

About the role

The Programme Management Advisor will support SHF’s thought leadership by providing strategic advice to create an enabling environment for market‑based approaches in sanitation and menstrual health, focusing on Nigeria. The role leads engagement with government and key public institutions to position and implement the SHF programme effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic engagement with senior government decision‑makers and coordinate with development partners, investors and private‑sector actors.
• Develop and present policy briefs and investment plans that integrate sanitation and menstrual health priorities at national and sub‑national levels.
• Plan and facilitate stakeholder forums, advising SHF leadership on critical engagement opportunities.
• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to expand programme reach and support resource mobilisation through proposals and presentations.
• Support the design and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation framework, conduct field visits, and prepare progress reports.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (preferably a Master’s) in Law, Political Science or a related field.
• Proven experience in policy development, government liaison, and partnership building in the sanitation or public health sector.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to produce policy briefs and investment documents.
