Payment Services Manager – Payments Implementation

About the role

Papaya Global is seeking a Payment Services Manager to lead the end‑to‑end payments onboarding process for its global payroll platform. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through implementation, training, and ongoing support across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full payments lifecycle from customer onboarding to daily operations.
• Collaborate with the Due Diligence/KYC team to approve new clients.
• Run pre‑go‑live “penny tests” for employee payment validation.
• Deliver training on the Payments component of the Papaya platform.
• Respond to and resolve payment‑related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor payment execution, troubleshoot issues, and work with third‑party providers to ensure timely settlement.
• Maintain accurate payment reporting and ensure data is correctly loaded into the system.
• Provide high‑quality customer service and work closely with payments and customer service teams as the business scales.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a STEM discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in payments onboarding or implementation, with payroll payments experience considered a strong plus.
• Strong project‑management abilities and a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast‑growing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite.
