About the role
The Parking Services Assistant supports the daily operations of the Parking, Card and Transportation office on campus. This role handles the distribution and sale of parking permits, processes payments, responds to customer inquiries, and maintains accurate records in the vehicle management system.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the sale and distribution of parking permits and coupons, and produce SLU Cards.
- Receive and post payments for permits, replacement IDs, and other services.
- Answer phone calls and email inquiries, providing information on parking policies, fees, options, and appeals.
- Manage event parking logistics, ensuring gate lists are current and communicating with DPS and Enforcement.
- Process monthly Metro passes, including sign‑up, ordering, distribution, and reconciliation.
- Troubleshoot garage pay‑machine hardware and software issues and work with vendors to resolve them.
- Perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy and enter information into the vehicle management system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Associate’s degree.
- Two or more years of related work experience.
- Preferred: five years of customer service experience.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
What we offer
- Hourly wage of $18.00.
- Full‑time schedule (40 hours per week).
