Observability Specialist

About the role

Deel is looking for an Observability Specialist to own the design, implementation, and evolution of its monitoring and observability ecosystem across a cloud‑native SaaS platform. You will ensure high system reliability, performance visibility, and cost‑efficient monitoring at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable observability solutions for Kubernetes and AWS environments.
• Own end‑to‑end monitoring across the platform, including metrics, logs, and traces.
• Operate and tune self‑hosted monitoring stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
• Optimize monitoring costs while maintaining coverage and alert fidelity.
• Integrate observability practices into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable releases.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define SLOs and drive reliability improvements.

Required profile

• Proactive problem‑solver with strong hands‑on experience in Kubernetes and AWS.
• Deep understanding of metrics, logging, tracing, and SLO‑driven observability.
• Experience designing scalable observability architectures for large‑scale SaaS products.
• Ability to work independently and influence cross‑functional teams.
