About this opportunity
Ericsson Security Manager provides unique security orchestration and management coupled with powerful security analytics. Security Manager is an essential part of evolved networks where security functions, policies and related configurations are dynamically deployed and adjusted across multi-vendor domains. It is a virtualized security solution (based on cloud native technologies and microservices) designed for end-to end infrastructure and application-level security management in 5G and further telecommunication deployments.
We are looking for someone with strong background (7+ years of experience working with teams) in System Engineering, Software Development and optionally DevOps engineering who cares about well-crafted software.
You will be able to join our forward-thinking and industry-leading Security Solutions unit, you get the opportunity to work with a group of extremely passionate security and software development/operation professionals
We believe that you are productive, creative, and easily interact with other people to receive and share knowledge. In addition, you are self-going and propose solutions and ways forward to achieve our goals.
You can use and constantly learn more about new cutting-edge open-source technologies, such as microservices, orchestration or deployment and gain experience in development of large-scale cloud native environments.
You will love this role if you like playing with Linux, virtualization, and containers, writing scripts and complex solutions running in a virtual environment, and coding to achieve an efficiently working and well-integrated development machinery. More-or-less everything that an engineer can dream of who loves to rock in a constantly evolving environment!

What you will do
Design, implement and review software based on requirement specifications for the Ericsson Security Manager software by using Cloud Native paradigms, mainly based on Python in a Linux environment.
Participate as a dedicated team member in the everyday teamwork and collaborate closely with your colleagues in a global environment.
Analyze, design, and implement product improvements to secure long-term quality and architecture for our software products.
You will be working along with highly skilled engineers and interact within internal and external partners.
You will bring
Solid experience in Python and/or other scripting languages
Experience in software development, DevOps, and agile practices
Experience in microservice design and development
Experience in cloud development and deployment tools (Docker/Kubernetes)
Good communication skills in written and spoken English
Big plus for security domain knowledge
