ROLE PURPOSE:
To provide IT technical services to Lagos, Oyo and other field offices in the southwest region by troubleshooting IT issues, ensuring timely maintenance of all communication/IT equipment. S/he willprovide all neededIT services to, and also act as a part of the SCI Nigeria IT team during an operation request.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: Programme Manager (Lagos, with matrix reporting to the Country Office IS&T Manager)

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Information Technology Officer shall be accountable on the following key areas in Lagos, Oyo, and other field offices in the southwest region of Save the Children International program in Nigeria:
Network Management
Support Lagos, Oyo and other field offices in the southwest on network troubleshooting ensuring an effective network connection. and maintain theentire local areanetwork installed at the supported office locations.
Troubleshooting and maintain the network devices e.g., printers, scanners, etc.
Maintain record of the localnetwork, VPN connection and the widearea network installed and terminated in his/her supported location.
In consultation with the Area Operations Manager and other team-leads, ensure that visitors (includingstaff from otherlocations, ERPs and consultants have the necessary IT assistance to enable them carry out their official assignments during their visits.
Hardware Support
Configure and installsystems and set up new users.
Carry out routinepreventive maintenance/checks and troubleshoot problems with his/her assigned field offices. Ensure all IT hardware equipment and computer accessories/peripherals are maintained effectively.
Ensure all IT problems withinthe office areidentified and solutions found and implemented.
Perform IT hardware inventory update as necessary.
Set up projectors, printers, photocopiers, fax machines, digital cameras, etc. for everyday officeuse and as necessary for meetings, etc.
Telecommunications Management
Ensure the field/sub-field bases supported by him/her havea well installed and functioning voice network (IP PBX). All devices are functioning, and the service is cost effective.
Troubleshooting technical problems with mobile subscriptions and IP Phone.
Ensure radio andsatellite equipment is operational. Ensuresatellite phones areworking and SIM cards are always activated.
Asset Management
Ensure good assetmanagement at theoffice(s) he/she is supporting throughmaintenance of an
accurate and up to date asset register and inventory tracking system, in close collaboration with the Logistics and Administrative Officers
Responsible to makesure that all assets (IT and officeequipment) is correctly used
Oversee the issuance and return of assets to/from staff and record all asset movements and disposals of IT equipment.
Collaborate with the assets focal person in the Lagos, Oyo and southwest region field offices, for effective handling and record keeping of SCI IT assets.
Incident Management
Providing first levelon IT helpdesk support in assigned field offices.
Communicating any servicedisruptions to users,opportunities and otherrelevant policies
Carry out any other tasksrequired by the line manager.
Security and Backup
Keep the network and all computer systems safe, secure,and virus-free.
Report any alleged or suspected misuseof IT systems/equipment, lapsesof security and major violations of organizational standards to the in-country IT representative.
Ensure proper backupof all staffinformation, files and folders.
ICT4D
Support program staff to come up with innovative ways to implement efficiently, smarter, better.
Come up with innovative ways to make support services more efficient.
Collaborate with other country IT staff to bring about innovations and solutions for the country office.
Data protection
Serve as the first point of call for all data protection issues in the Lagos, Oyo and southwest region.
Conduct data protection trainings for all staff and stakeholders as the need arises.
Report all data protection concerns/suspected breaches to the IT manager as they arise.
Train staff on the use of Datix for reporting data protection compliance breaches.
Safeguarding
The holder of this position will often have contact with children in the course of the work, so they will be required to commit to SCI child safeguarding policies.
S/he will be expected to conduct regular awareness programs and training sessions for ICT users, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders on online safety practices and potential risks.
Implement Monitoring and Reporting Mechanisms: Integrate monitoring tools to track online activities, identify potential risks, and establish reporting mechanisms for any inappropriate content or behavior.
Other Support Responsibilities
Provide a regularactivity/progress report to IT/Information Manager on all aspects of IT operations, highlighting any issues encountered and special initiatives taken etc.
Participate in and as part of the program network IT representative manageby the IT/Information Manager
Comply with all relevant Savethe Children policies and procedures, including safeguarding children, code of conduct, etc.
Other – Data Analysis experience using Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft Power Apps,

External IT Contractors and Service providers as manage by the in-country IT representative

SKILLS &EXPERIENCE
Essential
At least 3 years working experience in a similar position.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps
Proven knowledge of PABX, hardware maintenance and ability to solve simplehardware problems; this includes set-up and management of network devices e.g., printers, scanners, etc.
Solid experience in maintaining, troubleshooting and administering a Microsoft Windows-based (local area) network
Solid background maintaining, troubleshooting and administering a Microsoft Windowsserver 2008.
