MEAL Advisor – CMAM Avance Project (Remote)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a remote MEAL Advisor to lead measurement, evaluation and learning activities for the CMAM Avance project operating in Chad, DRC and Niger. The role supports the delivery of high‑quality nutrition services by ensuring robust data collection, analysis and reporting across the three country programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test and implement quantitative and qualitative data collection tools and processes for the CMAM Avance project.
• Train IRC staff and partner organisations in MEAL methodologies and ensure consistent application.
• Coordinate all data collection activities, monitor data quality and manage data processing for donor reporting, adaptive management and learning.
• Analyse survey and programme data, produce coverage survey reports and provide technical support to the project Statistician.
• Document project learning, produce knowledge products and support stakeholder learning sessions.
• Collaborate with the Best Use of Resources Team to assess annual cost‑effectiveness.
• Facilitate cross‑country collaboration and contribute to regional and organisational learning initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) within humanitarian nutrition programmes.
• Experience working with multi‑country projects, preferably in West and Central Africa.
• Strong background in quantitative and qualitative research methods and survey implementation.
• Ability to train and mentor staff and partners on MEAL practices.
• Excellent analytical skills and experience preparing donor reports and learning documents.
