Matching Grant Caseworker – Humanitarian Resettlement Support

About the role

The International Rescue Committee seeks a dedicated Matching Grant Caseworker to provide trauma‑informed services to refugees and qualified immigrants. You will help clients achieve self‑sufficiency through personalized plans, referrals, and advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments to identify client needs and eligibility.
• Develop individualized self‑sufficiency plans and timelines in partnership with each client.
• Provide direct support, referrals, and advocacy to connect clients with financial, medical, social, and vocational resources.
• Monitor client progress, address challenges, and ensure resources are utilized effectively.
• Document all client interactions in databases and assist with tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with coworkers, partner organizations, and local service providers.
• Travel within the service area using a personal vehicle or public transportation to meet clients.
• Train and supervise volunteers and interns as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in human services.
• Experience working with refugee or immigrant populations is strongly preferred.
