Maintenance Assistant

About the role

As a Maintenance Assistant at BreakFree Diamond Beach, you will be the go‑to person for all repair, upkeep and improvement tasks across the resort’s apartments, rooms and communal areas. You’ll work on a vibrant property close to the beach and the Gold Coast’s main attractions, ensuring everything stays in top condition for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain rooms, amenities and shared spaces to a high standard.
• Collaborate with a diverse team while also working independently when needed.
• Identify and resolve issues early to prevent larger problems.
• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance projects.

Required profile

• Physically fit with a proactive, “get‑up‑and‑go” attitude.
• Prior hands‑on experience in general building maintenance (carpentry, plumbing, electrical) – no formal qualification required.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and clear communication with managers, guests and contractors.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
