Machine Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Machine Maintenance Technician will ensure reliable operation of heat‑treatment furnaces, plant equipment and supporting systems at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, install and fabricate components, and calibrate instrumentation without QA control.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and modify furnaces, heaters, sensors, control panels, vacuum pumps, cooling towers and water systems.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and pipe‑fitting installations.
• Fabricate and install components, perform calibrations, and maintain documentation for traceability.
• Establish stock levels for spare parts and manage calibration systems.
• Provide hands‑on training to lower‑skilled technicians and ensure strict adherence to EHS standards.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently from technical drawings, manuals or sketches.
• Strong judgment to improvise installation or diagnostic methods when documentation is unavailable.
• Commitment to safety, including use of PPE and compliance with hazardous‑area procedures.
