Journeyman Technician – Shipboard Networks (CANES)

About the role

The team in Singapore is seeking a Journeyman Technician to support shipboard network systems, including the Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), and related tactical networks. You will work in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment, coordinating with government and civilian management to ensure network readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Perform system installations, sustainment, upgrades, and distance support for servers, networking devices, workstations, and storage equipment.
• Enforce configuration management and provide emergent Casualty Report (CASREP) support.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and recommend permanent configuration changes.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and integration design with StratasCorp dispatchers, shipboard crews, contractors, and vendors.
• Interface with MSC customers to guide proper network maintenance.
• Attend technical meetings, report status, and prepare data for reports and data calls.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with a Secret Clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to Singapore.
• Possession of IAT Level 2 or higher.
