About the role

We are looking for a qualified midwife or registered nurse for a part‑time position (37 hours/week) on the maternity ward of Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen. The role spans two units – the Center for vulnerable pregnant and postpartum women (unit 4021) and the specialized maternity unit (units 5033/34) – providing care for families with complex medical or psychosocial needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive postpartum care, including early intervention, family formation support and breastfeeding guidance.
• Monitor and treat women with medical, surgical or psychiatric complications after birth, including post‑cesarean care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, health visitors, neonatal intensive care) to ensure coordinated patient pathways.
• Participate in rotating shift work and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Required profile

• Authorized midwife or registered nurse.
• Interest in caring for vulnerable families and managing complex postpartum cases.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a specialized, evolving environment.
