IT Support Specialist – Asset Management

About the role

TaskUs is seeking an IT Support Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of its hardware assets. You will work closely with procurement, vendors, and internal teams to ensure assets are tracked, compliant, and optimally utilized.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate, up‑to‑date inventory of all IT hardware assets using asset‑management tools, tracking location, user assignment, and lifecycle status.
• Coordinate with procurement to acquire, tag, deploy, and assign assets in line with organizational needs.
• Oversee asset lifecycle from acquisition through upgrades, decommissioning, and secure disposal, adhering to company policies.
• Ensure all asset movements comply with internal policies and relevant government regulations.
• Document processes to support internal and external audit requirements.
• Generate inventory, lifecycle, and compliance reports for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with vendors to manage procurement, monitor warranty status, and enforce SLA and contract terms.
• Implement secure handling procedures, including data protection during transfers and disposal.
• Analyze asset utilization data to identify cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Experience managing IT hardware assets and familiarity with asset‑management tools.
• Ability to work with procurement and vendor teams to coordinate asset acquisition and deployment.
• Knowledge of compliance, audit documentation, and secure data handling practices.
• Strong analytical skills for utilization reporting and cost‑optimization.
