IT Network Engineer – Financial Services Infrastructure

About the role

The IT Network Engineer will be responsible for managing, securing, and ensuring the availability of the institution’s critical network infrastructure that supports core banking, payment platforms, and digital channels. The role is central to business continuity, data protection, regulatory compliance, and the overall stability of the financial system.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain critical networks, guaranteeing high availability and performance.
• Implement and maintain network security controls such as firewalls, segmentation, and access control.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and security incident management.
• Contribute to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and simulations.
• Design secure, resilient, and auditable network architectures aligned with ISO 27001 and ITIL best practices.
• Respond to incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and document corrective actions.
• Produce regular performance, security, and compliance reports for management and regulators.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure third‑party compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in IT networking, preferably within the financial sector.
• Proven experience in high‑availability and data‑center environments.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and audit processes in banking.
