Internal Audit & Risk Advisory Manager (18‑Month Contract)

About the role

Holt Renfrew is seeking a Manager to lead its Internal Audit and Risk Advisory function on an 18‑month contract. The role will drive the execution of the internal audit plan, provide objective assurance, and advise senior management on risk mitigation and operational efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee the internal audit program, including financial, operational and special‑project audits.
• Build collaborative relationships with business managers to analyse issues, identify root causes and recommend practical solutions.
• Evaluate internal control systems, design test procedures and highlight control weaknesses.
• Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to discuss findings, share best practices and develop action plans.
• Chair audit review meetings, present findings and agree on remediation steps.
• Manage special projects requested by senior leadership and ensure timely delivery of reports.
• Oversee third‑party audit resources, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
• Ensure adherence to privacy policies, regulatory requirements and cyber‑security measures.
• Lead, motivate and develop a high‑performing audit team.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in internal audit, risk advisory or a similar assurance function.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and influence senior stakeholders.
