Insurance Sales Representative

About the role

The Insurance Sales Representative will promote and sell a range of life and financial protection products on behalf of Guardian Life of the Caribbean. You will guide individuals and families in protecting their financial future by assessing needs, offering tailored solutions, and maintaining long‑term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new clients through referrals, networking, cold calling and marketing campaigns.
• Conduct needs‑based assessments and present customized insurance solutions.
• Explain policy features, terms and benefits to both prospective and existing clients.
• Issue quotes, prepare applications, maintain accurate client records and submit documentation in line with underwriting guidelines.
• Stay updated on product offerings, market trends and regulatory requirements in Trinidad and Tobago.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by management.
• Participate in regular training, team meetings and performance reviews.

Required profile

• Age between 25 and 45 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field is a plus.
• Valid life insurance license or ability to obtain one.
• Prior sales experience, preferably in financial services or insurance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, high integrity and customer focus.
• Self‑motivated with good organisational and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
