Geologist – Land Development & Groundwater Assessment

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Geologist to support large‑scale land development and infrastructure planning initiatives in Mauritania. The role focuses on geological and groundwater assessments in desert environments, ensuring sustainable site development and long‑term project feasibility.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field‑based geological surveys and mapping across desert terrains.
• Analyse land conditions and evaluate terrain suitability for infrastructure projects.
• Assess underground water availability and groundwater systems.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and geological assessments.
• Collaborate with technical and operational teams to integrate geological insights into project planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Geologist or in a similar technical role.
• Demonstrated experience working in desert environments.
• Strong understanding of groundwater systems and land evaluation.
• Ability to work remotely and in field‑based settings.
