Engineering Specialist – Sputter Process

About the role

The Engineering Specialist – Sputter Process provides critical engineering support to the hard‑disk media production line. You will ensure smooth process flow, maintain specifications, and uphold documentation standards in a clean‑room environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support production by monitoring process variables and adjusting parameters as needed.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot routine or minor equipment issues quickly.
• Perform process buy‑off after preventive maintenance or equipment breakdowns.
• Document manufacturing processes and prepare shift hand‑over reports.
• Assist or lead experiments aimed at process improvement and OEE enhancement.
• Support training and certification of new personnel.
• Help prepare for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or a related field.
• Self‑motivated with a positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in a clean‑room environment and on a 12‑hour night shift (7:30 pm – 7:45 am).

Required skills

• Knowledge of sputter processes and equipment.
• Experience with process troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to document procedures and generate clear reports.
