Direct Tax Technology Manager – Senior Manager

About the role

EY is looking for experienced professionals to lead its Direct Tax Technology practice in Copenhagen. The role sits at the intersection of tax, finance and IT, helping multinational clients navigate complex regulatory initiatives such as BEPS and real‑time reporting while modernising their tax processes with digital tools.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client workshops to capture requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Create and maintain design documentation aligned with business objectives.
• Develop strategies for digitalising direct tax processes and advise on technology platforms.
• Analyse direct tax regulations (e.g., OECD Country‑by‑Country, BEPS Pillar Two) and convert them into technical specifications.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to deploy SAP‑based solutions and support user‑acceptance testing.
• Engage with vendors and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of tax‑tech tools.
• Stay up‑to‑date with advancements in tax technology and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Business Administration, Taxation, Computer Science or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in tax accounting, reporting and direct tax, preferably with large‑scale tax transformation or SAP projects.
• Proven experience with multinational clients and cross‑competency teams.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
