Category Buyer – Retail Purchasing

About the role

O!Save is seeking a Category Buyer to lead end‑to‑end purchasing and product development for a specific product category. You will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms, and launching private‑label products that meet the needs of our hard‑discount customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full purchasing cycle and product development for the assigned category.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and develop product specifications.
• Launch O!Save private‑label products and build a targeted assortment aligned with customer needs.
• Negotiate high‑impact supply agreements and maintain vendor partnerships across local and international networks.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in retail purchasing or food‑related buying.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiations, contract management and cost optimisation.
• Strong analytical ability to assess product performance and make data‑driven decisions.
• Willingness to visit manufacturing plants and production facilities to ensure quality standards.
• Flexibility to work at the Distribution Center in Taytay, Rizal and travel to supplier locations as needed.
