Casual Registered Nurse – Aged Care

About the role

Join the casual nursing pool at Summerset’s Ellerslie village, providing high‑quality aged‑care services to long‑term residents. You will work alongside a dedicated team to enhance the daily lives of seniors in a resident‑directed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage residents’ everyday clinical needs, including end‑of‑life care.
• Develop, implement and review long‑term care plans and clinical assessments.
• Take charge of the care centre on assigned shifts, making appropriate clinical decisions.
• Deliver planned nursing care and evaluate progress in partnership with residents and families.
• Provide guidance and direction to caregivers on shift.
• Build trusted relationships with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Current NZ nursing registration and practising certificate.
• Genuine interest in working with older people in a retirement‑village setting.
• Ability to lead, stay calm under pressure and demonstrate emotional resilience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
