About the role

The Career Counselor provides comprehensive career exploration, planning, and counseling services to students and alumni at Saint Louis University. The role includes managing employer relationships, delivering career courses, and promoting career resources across campus.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver career exploration and planning programs for students and alumni.
• Administer and interpret career assessments.
• Coordinate internship and cooperative‑education programs.
• Present specialized outreach programs to raise career awareness.
• Teach career development courses and give presentations to student groups.
• Market career services to students, alumni, faculty, staff, and employers.
• Manage employer relationships and support on‑campus recruiting activities.
• Maintain the job search database, run reports, and critique resumes.
• Participate in university committees and events.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in counseling, higher education, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in career counseling or career services.
