About the role
Rockgas, New Zealand’s leading LPG supplier, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its team in Christchurch. This full‑time hybrid position focuses on driving growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering effective sales strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct market research to uncover new business opportunities.
- Create and present proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align business goals.
- Analyse sales data to inform strategy.
- Deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Represent Rockgas at industry events.
- Ensure customer satisfaction while expanding the business.
Required profile
- Proven experience in Business Development, client relationship management and sales strategy.
- Strong skills in market analysis, prospecting and opportunity identification.
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and proposal development.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Competence in negotiation, project management, organisational planning and meeting targets.
- Intermediate knowledge of CRM tools and sales tracking systems.
- Experience in the energy, utilities or related sector is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
