Assistant Nurse Clinician – Paediatrics, NICU & Labour

About the role

Raffles Medical Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Clinician to lead and coordinate comprehensive nursing care across Paediatrics, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Labour & Delivery. The role involves advanced clinical decision‑making, mentorship of junior staff, and ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence‑based care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and oversee nursing care for Paediatrics, NICU and Labour & Delivery patients.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate advanced nursing interventions in line with current clinical standards.
• Provide clinical supervision, guidance and expertise to nursing staff.
• Act as a clinical resource for patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior nurses and conduct regular teaching sessions, in‑service training and competency assessments.
• Lead staff performance reviews and support professional development.
• Contribute to the development and review of clinical protocols, SOPs and care pathways.
• Participate in audits, quality‑improvement projects, research activities and case reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Advanced Diploma in Paediatric Nursing (preferred).
• Valid Practising Certificate from the Singapore Nursing Board.
• At least 5 years of paediatric nursing experience and 2 years as an Assistant Nurse Clinician.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and good knowledge of regulatory standards.

Required skills

• Valid BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• Valid AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certification.
