Adjunct Faculty – 20 Hours per Week

About the role

Saint Louis University is seeking qualified adjunct faculty members to join its academic team on a part‑time basis. The position involves teaching, supporting patient care initiatives, and contributing to the university’s research objectives over a scheduled 20‑hour work week. Adjunct faculty are hired for a specified period and may be reappointed based on performance. The role may also include mentoring students and participating in departmental meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the designated discipline.
• Engage with students through lectures, discussions, and assessments.
• Prepare course materials, syllabi, and grading rubrics.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff on research projects and clinical activities where applicable.
• Maintain academic standards and uphold the university’s mission of faith, service, and excellence.

Required profile

• Relevant advanced degree in the field of instruction.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level.
• Commitment to the university’s values of compassion, research, and service.
• Experience in clinical or research settings is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations.
