Accountant – Business Services (Australia)

About the role

Sleek is seeking an Accountant to join its Australia team, helping micro‑SMEs manage their back‑office finance. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring accurate tax and payroll compliance while delivering clear financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) in line with ATO regulations.
• Maintain full sets of accounts for a portfolio of clients using cloud platforms such as Xero and Dext.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, payments and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with bookkeeping and tax teams to ensure ledger integrity and accurate transaction recording.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports for client decision‑making.
• Provide payroll support and act as the go‑to advisor for day‑to‑day accounting queries.

Required profile
