Workforce Development Coordinator

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) seeks a dedicated Workforce Development Coordinator to expand its Economic Empowerment programs. In this role you will create employment opportunities for clients, maintain employer partnerships, and support early‑employment training to help refugees and other vulnerable populations achieve self‑sufficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Track enrolled clients using the ETO and Client Track systems, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation of job‑development services.
• Maintain compliance with funder and agency requirements, including case files, data tracking, and administrative reporting.
• Coordinate quality‑assurance activities with supervisors and employment specialists, monitoring progress toward program performance goals.
• Produce high‑quality program reports for IRC headquarters and funders, and assist with grant‑writing as opportunities arise.
• Conduct employer outreach, build and nurture relationships, and educate employers on refugee employment and right‑to‑work documentation.
• Serve as liaison among IRC staff, clients, employers, and community partners, attending job fairs, community events, and site tours.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills with ability to manage multiple client records.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities with employers and community partners.
• Experience in workforce development, job placement, or related employment services preferred.
