Waiter/Waitress – Guest Service in Luxury Resort

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Waiter/Waitress to join our food and beverage team at One&Only Le Saint Géran, a luxury resort in Mauritius. The role involves delivering high‑standard service in the restaurant, bar, lounge and, when required, room service, ensuring every guest experience is memorable.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus and inform them of daily specials.
• Take food and beverage orders using handheld POS devices, noting any special dietary requests.
• Serve meals and drinks promptly, upsell where appropriate, and ensure proper table settings.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to guarantee smooth service flow.
• Handle payments, issue receipts and return change accurately.
• Perform basic cleaning, reset tables, and maintain dining area appearance.
• Open and pour wine at the table when required.
• Assist with stock replenishment and side‑station organization.

Required profile

• Friendly, courteous demeanor with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to fill in for absent staff and take on runner duties as needed.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a handheld Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Basic cooking knowledge to assist with simple food preparation.
